MOH exam requirements for Dentists
Requirements for General Dentist:
To apply as General Dentist for MOH exam, one should have successfully completed 5 year’s dental degree (i.e. BDS, DDS, DMD or its equivalent) from a recognized dental school listed on Avicenna database (formerly WHO directory of medical and dental school). Dental graduates must have registration and practice license from their home country.
International candidates (non UAE) must have atleast 2 years clinical experience after housejob / internship.
Requirements for Specialist and Consultant:
To apply as specialist or consultant for MOH exam, one should have primary dental degree from a recognized dental school listed on Avicenna database (formerly WHO directory of medical and dental school). Candidate should have completed post-graduation certificate comprising of minimum 2 (two) years duration as per recognized specialty certificates. But for some specialties like Orthodontics, Endodontics, Prothodontics, requirements may vary.
Candidate must have registration and valid practice license from his/her home country or country of last employment and should have no interruption in clinical practice for more than 2 years. Based upon clinical experience, candidate is allocated to different tiers.
