Requirements for General Dentist:
Candidate should have successfully completed 5 years dental degree (i.e. BDS, DDS, DMD or its equivalent).
Candidate should have experience for more than 3 years including internship.
Requirements for Specialist and Consultant:
Candidate should have primary dental degree and Recognized Specialty Certificates not less than 2 years. Candidate is allocated based upon his/her experience from Tier 1 (no experience required) to Tier 3( three years experience required) for specialist and Tier 1 (2 years experience required) to Tier 2 (8 years experience required) for consultant.
For Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialties, minimum of 4 years post graduate certificate is required.
For Orthodontics minimum 3 years postgraduate certificate is required.
For specialist dentist who do not meet the experience requirements, a provisional license will be issued for the candidate by the name of 'Specialist Dentist Under Supervision'.
