When and How to Check the Sheryan DHA Exam Result 2026?

DHA Exam Result Quick Summary

DHA releases your exam result only through your Sheryan account as a simple PASS or FAIL: computer-based (Prometric) results are uploaded within 2 working days and oral assessment results within 3 to 5 working days. A pass stays valid for one year from the result date. If you fail, you can reapply straight away (there is no waiting period), up to three attempts in total.

Doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals who sit the DHA (Dubai Health Authority) Prometric exam or oral assessment receive their official result from DHA, not from the test centre. This guide explains when the result appears, how to check and download it on Sheryan, what happens after a pass or a fail, and what to do if your result is delayed. How to check your DHA exam result on Sheryan?

DHA releases assessment results only through the Sheryan system. Here is how to find yours:

STEP 1

Go to the DHA Sheryan portal via services.dha.gov.ae and sign in with the same account you used to apply for the exam.

STEP 2

Open your application

From the dashboard, open the professional registration application linked to your assessment.

STEP 3

Check the assessment status

Your status updates to PASS or FAIL once DHA uploads the result. You will only see the outcome. There are no marks and no topic breakdown.

STEP 4

Check your registered email

Sheryan notifications are sent to the email on your account, so check your inbox and spam/junk folder as well. Still, treat the Sheryan dashboard as the final word.

STEP 5

Save a copy

Take a screenshot or download/print the result and any registration document shown for your records and future job applications.

When will my DHA exam result come out?

According to DHA's current Manual for Professional Assessment (Oral/CBT), issued May 2025, results are released on these timelines:

Public holidays and weekends are not working days, so an exam taken just before a weekend or holiday may take longer to appear. See the DHA oral exam guide if your category is assessed by interview.

What does the DHA exam result show?

DHA notifies candidates of the result as PASS or FAIL with no further details. You will not receive a percentage, raw score or list of questions answered incorrectly, and test-centre staff and oral panel members are not permitted to tell you the outcome. The Learning Outcome letter you may receive from Prometric highlights broad strengths and weaknesses that are useful for revision if you need to retake. It does not tell you whether you passed.

How is the DHA result calculated?

DHA calculates CBT results from the number of correct answers and the weighting of each exam domain, then reports a PASS or FAIL. DHA does not publish a fixed pass percentage in its assessment manual, so figures such as “60%” or “70%” that circulate online should be treated as unofficial. What happens when you pass the DHA exam?

When you pass, DHA records your successful registration in Sheryan (widely known as the DHA eligibility letter). DHA states that this is valid for one year from the date of the result and is not a permit to practise. A DHA-licensed health facility must hire you and activate it into a professional licence. If you do not secure a job and complete licensing within that year, check your options on Sheryan before the validity lapses. What if you fail the DHA exam?

A fail is not the end of the road. DHA's current rules let you try again, within limits:

Three attempts in total

Under the unified UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR), you can reapply and sit the assessment up to three times. DHA may reduce this to one or two attempts if the panel finds a major competency gap.

No waiting period

There is no time restriction between attempts. You can rebook as soon as a slot opens.

Two-year block after a third fail

Failing the third attempt blocks you from reapplying for a DHA licence for two years.

Further attempts in limited cases

DHA may allow further attempts, for example after gaining an additional recognised qualification or at least two years of licensed clinical experience since the last attempt, or one attempt for a lower professional title. Confirm your case on Sheryan.

Missing or cancelling an exam is not counted as a failed attempt, but exam fees are non-refundable. See our page on DHA exam total attempts and our guidance after failing the DHA GP exam.

How to reapply for DHA exam?

STEP 1

Use your existing Sheryan account

Log in to the same Sheryan account and application rather than creating a new profile, and check the status and any instructions DHA has added.

STEP 2

Request a new assessment attempt

Reapply for the assessment through Sheryan and pay the new assessment fee, as each attempt is charged separately. See DHA Prometric exam cost for fee guidance and confirm the current amount on Sheryan.

STEP 3

Book with Prometric

Use the Eligibility ID shown in Sheryan to choose a new date and test centre on the Prometric website. Rescheduling rules are covered in how to reschedule or cancel a DHA exam.

STEP 4

Keep your DataFlow report

An existing DataFlow PSV report is normally kept on your profile, so you usually do not repeat verification unless DHA asks you to.

How to download DHA exam result?

To download your result:

Visit the DHA website (dha.gov.ae) and open the Sheryan professional licensing services.
Log in to your DHA Sheryan account with your existing login credentials.
Open your application and view the assessment result or status.
Download, print or screenshot the page and any registration document for your records.

Tips if your DHA exam result gets delayed?

CBT results should appear in Sheryan within 2 working days and oral results within 3 to 5 working days. If yours is late, don't panic. Most delays come down to one of these:

Log in to Sheryan directly instead of waiting for an email. The dashboard is the official channel.
Check your email spam/junk folder for Sheryan notifications.
Confirm the exam is shown as completed and that your application has no pending document requests.
Make sure the name on your passport matches your Sheryan profile; mismatches can hold up processing.
For CBT result queries, DHA asks candidates to contact info@dha.gov.ae. Include your full name, Eligibility ID, exam date and passport number.

How to best prepare for DHA exam?

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the DHA exam result take?

For the Prometric computer-based test, DHA uploads the result to your Sheryan account within 2 working days. Oral assessment results are released through Sheryan within 3 to 5 working days. Weekends and UAE public holidays are not counted.

Can I see my DHA marks or score?

No. DHA only notifies you of PASS or FAIL, with no score or question review. Prometric may send a Learning Outcome letter showing broad strengths and weaknesses, but it does not state your result.

How many times can I take the DHA exam?

You can sit the DHA assessment up to three times in total, although DHA may reduce this if a major competency gap is found. Failing the third attempt blocks you from reapplying for a DHA licence for two years, with limited exceptions such as a new recognised qualification or two years of further licensed experience.

Is there a waiting period before I can retake the DHA exam?

No. DHA sets no time restriction between attempts, so you can reapply through Sheryan and book a new Prometric date as soon as one is available. You will need to pay the assessment fee again.

Will the Prometric centre tell me my result?

No. Prometric staff and oral panel members do not release results. The official PASS or FAIL is issued only by DHA through Sheryan.

How long is a DHA pass valid?
